Penshurst Church

A service of remembrance including Fauré's Requiem

This simple service and singing of Fauré's Requiem  by a combined choir of thirty from the church choirs of Penshurst and Chiddingstone plusmembers of the Penshurst Choral Society will provide a poignant commemoration of the lives of those in the villages of Penshurst and Chiddingstone who died during the pandemic and so could not have a funeral or memorial servcie that all their friends could attend.

The new Rector, Revd. Lisa Cornell will preside; the conductor of the requiem will be Joe Tobin (conductor of Penshurst Choral Society); Robert Hessey will play the organ; the soloists will be Rebecca Ellefsen (soprano) and Philip Sidney (baritone).  The requiem will be sung by the choirs of Penshurst and Chiddingstone Churches with some members of the Penshurst Choral Society. 

The service wil be followed by wine and refreshments at the back of the church.

Donations can be made on the night via card or cash.
